Engineering Planner | Liverpool | Pharma | 12 Month FTC

Our leading pharmaceutical client are looking to appoint an Engineer Planner to produce a PPM schedule for a new facility.
 
This role is considered a key appointment and will report directly into the Engineering Director and focus on reliability, maintenance and planning for the engineering team.
 
Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a highly regulated sector, such as Pharmaceuticals, nuclear or defence.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Management of the Maintenance Management System to organise internal or contract labour necessary to execute the activity and plan the work with affected departments so as to minimise impact on their operations.
  • Systems updates and maintenance of the management system database as new assets are commissioned
  • Defining effective maintenance plans and implement Reliability Centred Maintenance initiatives and eliminate Non-Value adding works.
  • To identify Critical Spares requirements and work with procurement to establish initial stock and re-ordering requirements
  • Shutdown planning for the Engineering function agreeing timelines with stake holders and seeing execution through to handover.
  • Process Owner responsible for failure mode and equipment criticality assessments (FMECA) and the generation of appropriate maintenance plans plus Spares holding strategies.
  • Managing third party contractors when necessary
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required
  • Strong engineering planning/scheduling experience
  • Experience work with CMMS (Blue Mountain RAM desirable)
  • Extensive Pharmaceutical or regulated sector experience
  • Understand engineering drawings, especially P & IDs, GA’s etc.
  • FMECA analysis
  • working within MHRA/FDA guidelines
  • Minimum BTEC / City & Guild in Engineering or Scientific discipline
