Head of Talent and Development – Langham Recruitment – Norwich – Role can be Full Time or Part Time. Its been a busy couple of years since Langham Recruitment was established in 2019. We are a specialist technology recruitment business, with 3 offices and a successful 180/180 business model, with our Norwich-based Delivery Centre and our growing team of regional Business Developers. We work exclusively with an exciting range of technology companies across the UK. Our partnerships include Sponsors of Tech Velocity / SyncTheCity Norwich, Ambassadors to the Cambridge/Norwich Tech Corridor and official recruitment partner for IN4.0 / HOST MediaCity.
We are now seeking to make a key hire in our Norwich HQ to fuel People Development as we scale the business. This is an opportunity for someone with Recruitment Industry experience to shape our Internal Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning and Development, and ultimately to progress into a Head of People role.
Role responsibilities: 
  • Proactively source for experienced and graduate/trainee recruitment consultants – via LinkedIn, job boards, advertising, universities, recommendations and networking.
  • Pre-screening and conducting competency-based interviews.
  • Setting up of assessment days and / second interviews.
  • Providing great candidate experience.
  • Welcoming / onboarding new starters
  • Coordinating the induction training programme to all new employees with the squad leaders and directors including delivering training and coaching
  • Work with directors and external consultant(s) to develop innovative training material using a range of media.
  • Project Management of accreditations, e.g. Investors in People, Best Companies to Work for, Recruiter Hot 100
  • Opportunity to build a Talent and Development team as the business grows
About You - Applications are invited from either existing Trainers or Recruiters with Recruitment Industry experience, or from recruitment consultants who are seeking a career transition into a Talent / People Development.
Desirable Skills and experience: 
  • Experience of working in a Recruitment Agency environment
  • IT / Technology recruitment experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of mentoring / training recruiters either formally (e.g. as a Trainer) or informally (e.g. in a Senior Recruitment Consultant or Team Leader role)
  • Good written communication skills and interested in using a range of applications to develop training material e.g. video / multimedia, Slack etc…
  • Passionate about self-development 
What you will receive in return: 
  • Starting salary in the range £30,000 to £40,000 plus bonus
