The Role
An ambitious Norwich based Leisure & Hospitality company are looking to recruit a Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. You will work closely with the Group Management Accountant to support in the day to day finance responsibilities. 


 
Role & Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly payroll process, uploading payroll hours, updating AOE as required, submitting EPS & FPS to HMRC,
  • Maintenance of source spreadsheets which enable payroll to be completed - Starter/leaver paperwork, inputting new employees to relevant spreadsheets via Vlook-ups, wages analysis vs weekly income for retail department,
  • Posting/allocating weekly income via cashbooks provided by cashiers,
  • Weekly bank reconciliation & postings,
  • Control account reconciliations including accruals, prepayments & deferred income,
  • Weekly flash reporting – analysis & interpretation,
  • Assistance with day to day processing of purchase ledger and administering payment runs,
  • To be flexible in approach and undertake ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operations within the accounts department.

Essential Skills
  • Payroll knowledge and good understanding of Payroll packages,
  • Excellent communication skills, 
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft packages - Advance excel skills i.e. pivot tables & formula’s is essential
  • Self-motivated and be able to use your own initiative,
  • A good team player,
  • Have a “passion” for great customer service, 
  • Have a “can do” pro-active attitude,
  • Organised, able to prioritise and to make decisions,
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills
  • Good understanding of Accounting packages,
  • AAT Level 3,
  • Full Driving license

£20,000 - £25,000 DOE,
Flexible working, mix of office and remote,
