Langham was pleased to be present at the Advanced Engineering 2018 show at the NEC. There were 600 businesses showcasing the latest in Engineering Innovation.
A particular highlight of the conference was the overview from Andrew Ashby from AESIN (Automobile Electronics Innovation). AESIN is a not for profit organisation and a dedicated UK initiative focused on the accelerated and advanced delivery of Electronic Systems (ES) into vehicles and infrastructure.
Andrew spoke specifically about the innovations within Automotive but also the skills shortage in talent entering the Electronics sector. Notably graduates from Universities. It was also noted that there is a significant gender imbalance within the engineering sector and there is a crucial need for female talent entering the sector.
Please contact us for more information on what we are doing to provide clients with advice about gender neutral candidate acquisition techniques.
We would also recommend that electronics professionals consider joining AESIN (www.aesin.org.uk) for access to leading edge information on innovation in the automotive sector and an opportunity to get involved in one of their workstreams.
